Stop glorifying the spirit of chaos
Good morning 🌞
This last week, our babysitter was sick for a few days.
This led to a last-minute scramble to make sure Henley was taken care of.
In the end, it all worked out.
I (Mitch) watched her on Monday because I had minimal meetings.
And my mom watched her all day Tuesday.
The Lord always provides.
But this brings up something I’ve been pondering lately.
Oftentimes, we see parents glorifying chaos on social media.
They make parenthood seem like it’s always a complete and utter stressful mess.
The reality is, it’s not.
We can actually choose to allow a spirit of chaos into our homes.
Or not.
Taylor and I don’t allow it.
Yeah, things get crazy from time to time.
This last week was a perfect example. It’s not always perfect and calm.
Being parents means you have to always be on the ball and be prepared for last-minute changes.
But this doesn’t mean allowing and glorifying chaos.
I believe a spirit of chaos is rampant in many family homes.
And it’s not good.
We have the power to dictate the pace and feel of our homes.
Ask the Lord to bring peace into yours.
Say no to things that attract chaos.
God bless,
Mitch and Taylor
