How to beat inflation at the grocery store

Good morning 🌞

It’s no secret that groceries are expensive right now.

More expensive than ever before in some places.

It’s hard on honest families trying to raise kids on a single income.

But it’s not impossible.

I thought I’d share some common items on our grocery list that have helped us eat healthy, quick meals while staying under budget:

🐔 Chicken
🍨 Plain Greek yogurt
🦃 Turkey lunch meat
🐟️ Tuna packs
🍚 Rice
🥚 Eggs
🥦 Frozen broccoli
🍠 Sweet potatoes
🍎 Apples

These are just a few.

What’s important is finding cheap, high-protein options that will be filling and last long.

We make two stops at Sam’s Club each month.

We’ll make quick trips to Walmart in between when we are running low on common items, like milk.

We RARELY buy expensive snacks.

They end up just getting eaten within a week anyway.

Stay away from them.

A lot of people are complaining about inflation and saying it’s impossible to eat healthy for a reasonable price.

I understand the sentiment. It’s frustrating.

But it is possible… it’s just hard.

And not many people today like to do hard things.

You have to be someone who embraces hard things 🙂

Happy grocery shopping!
